This is an easy recipe to make in the crockpot and just good comfort food. My family enjoys this recipe with Southern Cornmeal Hoecakes.3 or 4 chicken breasts (I use the frozen ones. Could use other chicken parts, too.) 3 or 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks 1 medium onion, peeled and sliced in rings 1 package onion soup mix 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup 1 cup milk 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, undrained 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes 1/2 teaspoon basil 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon salt 1 (1 pound) bag frozen broccoli cuts Add chicken to crockpot, whisk remaining ingredients together in a bowl except broccoli, pour over chicken pieces. Cook on high for 4 hours or low 7 to 8 hours. About 30 minutes before serving add the broccoli to the crockpot and cook until tender. Serves 4 to 6 depending on number of chicken pieces. Enjoy!
