This classic fruit salad is an old fashioned recipe, sometimes called five cup salad, that can be made using various fruits but I always add miniature marshmallows, coconut, and sour cream. A great salad to accompany any holiday meal or to serve anytime! My family loves this one.
1 cup chunk pineapple, drained
1 cup mandarin oranges, drained
1 cup sour cream
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup shredded coconut
Mix together and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
Note: Can be made with fresh or canned fruit. I also use bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raisins, nuts and any other fruit I might have available. You can add more or less fruit. This five cup salad is a very versatile recipe and will keep several days refrigerated.
