GRILLED CHICKEN AND CHICKEN GRILLIN SAUCE
Grilled chicken with this homemade grilling sauce is delicious.
This barbecue sauce is great on grilled chicken, keeps in the refrigerator for several days and could be frozen. We love it! This makes enough sauce for 4 to 6 chicken breasts. You can double or even triple the recipe and use any parts of the chicken. You could marinate the chicken in the sauce before cooking, too. We get great reviews on this grilled chicken and like to make it for a quick weeknight meal or anytime we have family and friends over to eat.
Try this grilled chicken anytime you are cooking out for a treat.
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons vinegar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon more or less of salt
2 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Hot sauce to taste (Optional)
Whisk all ingredients together several hours before you start grilling. Slather on chicken pieces several times while on the grill. Makes about 2 cups sauce. Enjoy!
Note: I use this on chicken but could be used on other meats as well and also used as a marinade.
