Cook roast with beef broth and french soup in crock pot for 8-10 hours on low, or 5-7 hours on high. I cooked mine until it was easy to shred. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut rolls and add your roast and cheese. Put in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Serve by dipping in Au Jus Gravy made from the roast. Another way to make them is to put them all in the oven and spoon Au Jus Gravy over the rolls and bake for 15-20 minutes until they have soaked up the gravy. Either way is wonderful! Enjoy! This recipe made 16 rolls. Depends on how much roast you use on each roll.

  1. I have been making your delicious recipes for years and have never been disappointed! They have always been a big hit in my family so I’m excited to try this recipe too. However, can you please share what brand of beef broth and French Onion soup you use as I want this to taste just like your recipe. Thanks so much!

    1. The Southern Lady says:

I use campbells soup and broth. Thank you for the kind comment! Enjoy!

  2. I made these, and they were AMAZING! Thanks for the recipe! I was wondering if it would be okay to double the broth and soup in order to have more gravy (I loved the gravy). I know it would be okay, but not sure if it will effect the meat. 🙂

I’ve never tried it Shelly, but I can’t imagine why that wouldn’t work. I am so glad you loved these sliders, they are one of our favorites!

  3. Bo Mullen says:

Do you braise the beef prior to putting in slow cooker?

    1. The Southern Lady says:

      No, I sure don’t.

  4. When you say French Soup Condensed? Do you mean French Onion Soup condensed? Also, the dipping gravy, is that just from the drippings of the roast? Or do You have a recipe just for the dipping Au Jus Gravy? PLEASE SHARE IF YOU HAVE A RECIPE IF YOU DO?

    1. The Southern Lady says:

Yes, Jessica, you are correct it is French Onion Soup Condensed and no I didn’t make a separate Au Jus Gravy the stock and soup from the roast was perfect for dipping.
