I love this recipe. It reminds me of my mothers which I can’t find anymore.
    Thank you for posting…5 stars

  2. My recipe is very similar, but I add 2-3 T red wine vinegar and 2-3 T sugar. Keep the ratio of vinegar to sugar the same. I also sometimes finely chop some celery into the slaw and delete the celery salt. I love the crunch it adds.

  3. This is almost like my mom’s recipe – except she always added a squeeze of 1/2 a lemon to the mayo before mixing it in. I do the same, and I add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Thanks for posting; I’m wanting some right now.

  5. this is the same recipe I have always used. Love this on my hotdogs and hamburgers.

  6. I love slaw on my hot dogs and hamburgers, too, especially with lots of onions. Your’s looks good, Judy—and very pretty with the different colors.

  8. I like coleslaw also. You food always looks so good and I get so hungry. You are really bad for my attempt to loose weight.

  9. That’s pretty much the same as mine. I use a little Marzettis Slaw Dressing mixed with the Hellman’s. I love coleslaw, but not the soupy stuff that you often get with a fish fry.
