  1. The flavor of this pudding is perfect! The amount of vanilla and salt make it an exceptional chocolate pudding. So easy to make too. Thank you for a great recipe!5 stars

  2. Made this for the family, topped with unsweetened whipped cream and crumbled peanut butter cookies. Delightful! I am always looking for a good chocolate-craving-spot-hitter that just calls for cocoa powder (so many recipes ask for chopped choc or chips). I added this to my recipe book immediately! I did sub whole milk for the evaporated and did equal parts water and milk to make up the difference. Yum!5 stars

  3. This one just didn’t do it for us. I don’t know whether its a mistake, but no corn starch? I followed the recipe, and the pudding never solidified . A bit on the sweet side as well. Flavor was ok, not great. Sorry to leave a bad review, but I’m being honest. Gave it a try tho. 2 stars

If it didn’t solidify then it probably wasn’t boiled long enough for it to thicken. Not every recipe works for every person.

  4. Very good recipe and super easy to make .5 stars

  7. Janice Barry says:

Can you use whole milk in place of evaporated?

    1. The Southern Lady says:

Yes, you can do that, Janice.

  8. Could you use Stevia sweetener instead of sugar?

    1. The Southern Lady says:

I’ve never tried it Vickie, so I really can’t say.
