How to Make Your Own Self-Rising Cornmeal MixThis food tip on how to make your own self-rising cornmeal mix comes from the Aunt Jemima website.  So many of you have told me you cannot find self-rising cornmeal mix where you live and a lot of recipes call for this ingredient. I can usually find it here at Kroger or Walmart but it may not be sold in some parts of the country.

Combine the following ingredients to make one cup of self-rising cornmeal:

3/4 cup regular cornmeal

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

You can always make more and store in an air-tight container for use in recipes.
