Make Your Own Apple Pie Spice

Did you ever get ready to make a pie and check the cupboard for spices to find that you don’t have the one you are looking for?  Here is a handy tip on how to make your own apple pie spice in case you run out.   

You will be able to “share” these by looking under the photo and clicking on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest to share with your friends. Click on the picture of the little printer if you want to print the tip or save it.

Combine the following:

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon allspice

1/8 teaspoon cardamom

This equals to 1 teaspoon apple pie spice.  Make more to have on hand.  Store in an airtight container.
