Savory Cheese Muffins

These muffins are fabulous with soups and chili or even for breakfast with jelly and jam.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons white granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, parsley and black pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir in vegetable oil, buttermilk, sour cream, eggs and shredded cheese.
  • Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with cooking spray. Fill tins with batter. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes until brown on top and centers test done.
