Ingredients

  • 1 12 ounce package cranberries or about 3 cups (can use frozen)
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Place white sugar, brown sugar and orange juice in a pan on top of the stove. Heat till dissolves.  Pour in cranberries, bring to simmer and cook 8 to 10 minutes until berries start to pop.
  • Remove and mash berries. I just use the back of a wooden spoon.  Refrigerate several hours before serving. They will become thicker as they cool.
  • Makes about 1 1/2 cups cranberry sauce
