French Onion Beef and Rice

Equipment

  • 1 12 inch Iron Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb gound beef
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 (10.5 ounce cans) beef cosume
  • 2 (10.5 ounce cans) french onion soup
  • 2 cups long grain white rice uncooked
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 3/4 cup butter sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a 12 inch cast iron skillet brown ground beef and minced garlic, add chopped onion and celery and sautee for a few minutes. Drain grease from beef if needed.
  • Add smoked paprika, beef consume, french onion soup, rice, salt and pepper. Cut butter into slices and place on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 30 minutes. Remove from oven, fluff with a fork and serve.

Notes

You can make this in a 9X13 baking dish.
