Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 8 ounce tubes of crescent rolls
  • 4 - 5 apples peeled, cored and cut into slices
  • 3/4 cup of white sugar
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup of water
  • 8 tablespoons or 1 stick of butter melted

Topping Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of pecans chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles, place apple at wide end of each triangle and roll dough around the apple.
  • Place in greased 9X13 baking dish and repeat until all triangles are used.
  • Next add water, brown sugar and white sugar to a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Continuing to stir until sugar is dissolved.
  • Next pour over dumplings. then pour the melted butter over dumplings.
  • Combine cinnamon, brown sugar, and pecans and sprinkle over dumplings. Cook for 30-35 minutes.
  • Dumplings will be soft on bottom and crisp on top. Enjoy with ice cream.
