Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders can use 3 or 4 chicken breasts or any parts of the chicken
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 6 ounce box cornbread stuffing mix You can use any stuffing mix
  • 1 14.5 ounce can chicken broth
  • 1 10.5 ounce can cream of chicken soup undiluted

Instructions

  • Sprinkle pepper on chicken and put chicken in the bottom of a 3 quart crock pot. Combine stuffing mix with the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup. Spread over the chicken in the crock pot.
  • Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 4 hours or until chicken is done. Remove and shred chicken. Serve with stuffing. Makes about six servings.

Notes

Optional ingredients you can add to this recipe are a teaspoon poultry seasoning, chopped celery and onion. I did not add salt since the broth and the stuffing mix has salt but you could add more. You could make this in the oven, too. Just cover all ingredients in a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until chicken is done.
