Broccoli Raisin Salad

Broccoli Raisin Salad is a classic! It's always better the next day so you can make it in advance and wonderful for any occasion. You can use craisins instead of raisins if you choose.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli
  • 1/2 cup green onion chopped
  • 3/4 cup seedless raisins
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup shelled sunflower seeds
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Cover and soak raisins with water till plump, drain.
  • Combine broccoli, onion, bacon, sunflower seeds, and raisins and set aside.
  • Mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss with salad, chill until served.
  • Makes about six servings.

Notes

Can easily double this recipe for a larger group.
