This dip is a family favorite. We serve it for so many events and we never have any left. It's easy and delicious. This recipe makes a lot so it is perfect for a crowd.
1poundpork sausageWe use Jimmy Dean’s Mild Pork Sausage but you can use hot or mild
28 ounce packages Philadelphia cream cheese
210 ounce cans of Ro-tel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies (regular, mild or hot)
1/2cupchopped onionoptional
1/2teaspoonminced garlicoptional
Instructions
Brown sausage, onion and garlic in a skillet and drain. While sausage is cooking put cream cheese and tomatoes in crock pot on high. Add browned sausage to crock pot and let cook until cheese is melted and dip is hot. Serve with nachos, chips, or crackers of your choice.
Notes
Anne does not add the onions and garlic to her recipe. You can do it either way or you could use hamburger to make this. You could also add hot sauce if you want it really hot.
