- 1 deep dish pie shell
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips divided
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans chopped
- 1/2 cup flaked coconut
Melt butter in microwave and pour over 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips and stir until smooth.
In a bowl whisk together the flour and both the white and brown sugar. Pour in the melted chocolate chips. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Stir to mix.
Add chopped pecans, coconut and the rest of the chocolate chips.
Pour into uncooked pie shell. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Do not overcook. Pie is best if a little undercooked.
