Southern Apple Crisp
This is a great recipe and super easy. We love it with ice cream.

- 4 cups apples peeled and cut into chunks (I have used all kinds of apples in this recipe)
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup margarine or butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup raisins Optional
- Nuts of your choice Optional I use walnuts
Place apples in 9 x 9 inch casserole dish and combine remaining ingredients except butter and either spread over or mix with apples.
Slice thin pats of butter over top. Bake in preheated 375 degrees until apples are tender and topping is bubbly. Usually about 40 – 45 minutes.
