- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 stick butter or 8 tablespoon or 1/2 cup
- 1/2 cup 100% pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
Whisk cornstarch into water until smooth. Combine honey, water with cornstarch, butter and pumpkin puree in a saucepan on top of the stove.
Bring to a rolling boil and cook until becomes like a syrup or to the consistency you like. This usually take about 2 minutes. Remove from stove and stir in vanilla extract and spices. Makes about 2 cups of syrup.
