Peach Pecan Bread

This bread is a wonderful way to enjoy peaches!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter or 8 tablespoons or one stick melted
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of diced and peeled peaches

Topping Ingredients:

  • Sliced peaches about one peach
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar

Instructions

Bread Instructions:

  • Whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl. Add sugar, melted butter, vanilla, sour cream, buttermilk, and eggs. Mix well with a spoon.
  • Add in diced peaches. Line a 9X5 bread pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Pour the batter into the pan.

Topping Ingredients

  • Place the sliced peaches on the top of the bread. Then sprinkle chopped pecans and brown sugar over the top of the bread.
  • Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 65-70 minutes, testing to make sure that bread is done in the center.
  • Cool for 10-15 min and remove from pan. Makes 1 loaf.
  • Serve warm with butter. Keep in the refrigerator.
