Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants chopped
  • 1 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk we use whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons of orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350. and grease a 2 qt baking dish (8-inch square works well) with nonstick spray. You can also use a large deep dish pie plate. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  • Add in sugar and eggs and mix until smooth. Then add milk, orange juice, and almond extract.
  • Place chopped croissants in a 2 quart greased baking dish. Drop spoonfuls of marmalade over croissants and then give it a few stirs to mix it in a bit.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over it and then cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 40 minutes, then uncover and bake for about 15-20 more minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
  • Let it sit and cool slightly before serving. You can sprinkle it with powdered sugar before serving.
