Mixed Berry Crisp

This berry crisp is so easy to make and a refreshing dessert any time of year. Top it with ice cream for a real treat!

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups mixed berries fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping Ingredients for berries:

  • 1 cup of old-fashioned rolled oats unprepared
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter or 12 tablespoons melted

Instructions

  • Combine berries with flour, sugar, salt, lemon juice and vanilla extract. Toss and mix well. Place in a 9 x 9 baking dish or any baking dish you like. Mix topping ingredients and place on berries.

Topping Instructions

  • Combine and mix well with spoon. Sprinkle over berry mixture.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven 45 minutes. Delicious with ice cream or whipped cream on top. Makes about 6 to 8 servings.

Notes

We used a mixture of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.
