Ingredients
1 1/2– 2 lbs hamburger
3or 4 carrotssliced
1large onionchopped
6or 7 medium potatoes peeled and cut up
2or 3 stalks of celery chopped
1pkg frozen corn
1pkg frozen okra
148 oz.can tomato juice
1tablespoonchili powder
2tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
water or chicken broth
Instructions
Brown hamburger in skillet, drain. In a large soup pot, add all the ingredients except tomato juice. Add enough water to just cover the vegetables and simmer until potatoes and carrots are soft. Add tomato juice and continue to simmer on low heat for about 30 to 45 minutes.
Notes
You could make this in the crock pot, too. Just brown hamburger first, drain and add remaining ingredients. Cook on low about 7 hours or high 4 hours until potatoes and carrots are done.
