1/4cupor 4 tablespoons cold buttershredded or cut in small pieces
1/2cupsmall curd cottage cheese
1cupbuttermilk
Instructions
Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cayenne and celery seeds in a large bowl. Cut butter into flour until resembles coarse crumbs. We just use a spoon to do this. Mix in the cottage cheese and buttermilk to form a ball.
Turn out on a floured surface, knead a few times and cut out with biscuit cutter. (we just use a glass to cut them out).
Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven on an ungreased baking sheet for 15 to 20 minutes. You can brush biscuit tops with melted butter before cooking.
Notes
This recipe makes 10-12 biscuits depending on the size that you cut them.
