- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 2 eggs beaten
- 3 bananas mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts pecans
- 1/2 cup of apple butter I use Musselman's Apple Butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Powdered Sugar Glaze Ingredients -Optional
- 1 cup white powdered sugar
- 3-4 tbsp Milk whole or 2%
- 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, and bananas with mixer. Add flour, baking soda and chopped nuts. Spread half the mixture in a 9X5 greased loaf pan.
Mix apple butter, cinnamon and vanilla together and spread over mixture. I use a butter knife to spread it. Pour the remaining bread batter over the apple butter.I sprinkle more pecans on top. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degree for 60 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Makes one large loaf of bread.
