Brown Sugar Cake Mix Bars - Gluten Free

These cake mix bars can be made gluten free. Super easy and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 Yellow Cake Mix can use Pillsbury Gluten Free
  • eggs
  • 1/2 stick of butter melted

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce cream cheese (can use light)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of walnuts can use pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 3 cups of powdered confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 and lightly grease a 9X13 cake pan. Combine cake mix, 2 eggs and 1/2 stick of butter and mix well. Press evenly into baking dish.
  • Combine topping ingredients except for the nuts and mix with with mixer until well combined. Fold in nuts.  Spread evenly over cake mix and bake for 35-40 minutes until the center comes out clean with a toothpick or fork. Let completely cool, then cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

I made this with the Pillsbury Gluten Free Yellow Cake mix and they came out great. So if you need a gluten free option this one works.
