Fresh Pear Pecan Bread
This bread is easy to make and absolutely delicious.
Servings: 6 servings
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 cup of white sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter or 8 tablespoons or one stick melted
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup of sour cream
- 1/2 cup of buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups shredded and peeled pears
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of allspice
- 1 cup of chopped pecans
Whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda in a large bowl. Add sugar, melted butter, vanilla, sour cream, buttermilk and eggs. Mix well with spoon. Add in shredded pears. Spray a 9X5 bread pan with cooking spray and add the batter.
Mix swirl ingredients together with a spoon and spread over batter. Take a knife and swirl in to the bread batter.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 65-70 minutes, testing to make sure that bread is done in center. Cool for 10-15 min and remove from pan.
