Caramel Drizzle

This is a great caramel sauce for ice cream, cakes, pancakes, etc. It's very easy to prepare.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter or 1/2 cup or 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk can use whole milk, two per cent or evaporated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  • Combine brown sugar, butter and milk in a saucepan on top of the stove. Bring to a boil and cook about 1 minute once it starts boiling good. Takes about 5 minutes in all. Remove from stove and stir in vanilla extract. Drizzle will thicken as it cools.
