Perfect Baked Chicken
This baked chicken is so easy to make and comes out perfect every time! Wonderful for salads or topped with barbecue sauce. It's very versatile.
Servings: 4 servings
- 1 pound of chicken breast
- 1/4 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 2-3 tablespoons of Olive oil depending on the size of chicken breast
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Mix all the spices in a small container. Coat each side of chicken breast with olive oil and lay in baking dish. Sprinkle each side with spice mixture. Put in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until largest part of the breast is 160-165 degrees.
If you don't have a meat thermometer, then cut slit in breast and make sure the meat is white. If you are using larger breast this may be longer, but it cooks fast and oven temps vary, so be sure to check the chicken. Take out of oven and cover for 5 minutes to seal juices.
