Pineapple Sausage Baked Beans

This recipe is wonderful to take to any holiday event or gathering.  It would be great for tailgating, a cookout or when having a barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 2 15 ounce can pork-n-beans, drained
  • 1 20 ounce can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 24 ounce bag Lit'l Smokies or cocktail sausages
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions can use regular onion
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes. If using the crock pot, cook on low for about 4 hours or high for about 2 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Notes

I use Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce. You could also add your favorite spices to this dish such as a teaspoon of chili powder, black pepper, cumin, minced garlic, etc.
