Easy Sourdough Rolls

Use my wonderful Sourdough Starter to make these great Sourdough Rolls!

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/4 cup butter or 4 tablespoons melted


  • Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir in the starter and butter. Turn out on a floured surface and knead about 8 or nine times. Grease a 9 inch cake pan or round baking dish with cooking oil and pinch off pieces of dough and roll into balls about the size of a walnut. Cover with a dish towel and place in warm spot. (I put on top of stove while it is heating). Let rise for 1 hour.
  • Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 20 minutes until golden brown. Makes 20 small rolls.
