Creamy Stove Top Macaroni and Cheese
This Creamy Stove Top Macaroni and Cheese recipe is so good.
Servings: 4 people
- 1 1/3 cups macaroni or pasta of your choice (cooked until tender)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup milk I use 2%
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 ounces cream cheese
Cook macaroni in a saucepan on top of the stove according to package directions until tender. Drain.
Return macaroni to saucepan and add butter, salt, black pepper, milk, heavy whipping cream, cheddar cheese and cream cheese. Stirring constantly with stove on very low heat cook until cheeses are totally melted.
Remove from heat and wait about 10 minutes before serving so pasta can soak up wet ingredients.
