Ritzy Cabbage Casserole

  • 1 small head of cabbage shredded or chopped in small pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter or 1/2 stick or 1/4 cup melted
  • 2 cups shredded cheese I use sharp cheddar, you can use whatever you like
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs


  • 1 sleeve of Ritz crackers or about 30 crackers crumbled
  • 4 tablespoons butter or 1/2 stick or 1/4 cup melted


  • Chop cabbage in small pieces or shred and add to large mixing bowl. Whisk together the milk, butter, shredded cheese, black pepper, salt and eggs. Toss with chopped cabbage. Spray a 2 to 3 quart baking dish with cooking oil and add cabbage mixture to dish. Sprinkle on topping

Topping Instructions:

  • Combine crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over casserole.
  • Bake casserole in preheated 350 degree oven 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
