Zucchini fries are a favorite way to eat this vegetable at my house.
Servings: 4 servings
- 2 to 3 medium-sized zucchini unpeeled
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup oil I use Canola
Mix all ingredients in a bowl with a spoon except oil. Cut ends off zucchini, cut in half, then in strips like French fries or can cut in slices or chunks. Dip several pieces of zucchini in flour mixture. Have oil very hot. You could use a deep fryer for this but I usually do mine in a skillet because it takes less oil than the fryer. Add zucchini to hot oil and fry on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
