Cocktail SauceThis easy recipe for homemade cocktail sauce is great with any seafood.  Use it for shrimp cocktails, fried shrimp or any fish where you like a hot sauce.  You can make it mild or as hot as you like by just adjusting the ingredients to suit your taste and I think anything’s better homemade.

1 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 to 2 tablespoons grated raw horseradish or can us horseradish sauce

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

pinch salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

few drops Tabasco or hot sauce, (optional)

Mix all ingredients together.  I use the hand mixer to do this. Can make as little or much as you like by doubling or tripling recipe.  Keeps well in refrigerator for weeks.  Makes 1 cup. Enjoy!

  1. Instead of using hot sauce, try using some wasabi to kick it up a few notches.

  2. I make mine with Ketchup and liquid crab boil…..
