It is the perfect time of year for Barbecued Pork Chops with the family.  Grocery list provided for this great summer meal! Enjoy!

Barbecued Pork Chops


Grocery List:

  • 4 to 6 medium pork chops
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • garlic powder
  •  black pepper
  • Dijon mustard


Watermelon and Tomato Salad 


Grocery List:

  • 1 pint grape tomatoes or about 2 cups
  • 1 pear tomato
  • 1 regular tomato
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 onion (I used sweet Vidalia)
  • 3 to 4 cups chopped watermelon
  • 1 fresh lemon or about 3 tablespoons
  •  olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil or fresh basil leaves
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • Fresh mint leaves, Optional (I chopped about 3 or 4 and added to salad)


Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Walnuts


Grocery List:

  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts (could use frozen)
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 3 or 4 green onions
  • 1 small sweet red pepper
  •  olive oil
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped (could use pecans)
  • 1/2 cup craisins or could use raisins
  • 2 tablespoons roasted sunflower seeds (Optional)
  • grated parmesan cheese (Optional)


Make your meal complete with this dessert!

Fresh Peach Puddin


Grocery List:

  • 3 cups peeled peaches cut in chunks
  • 1 cup sugar
  •  salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk (could use regular milk)
  • 1/4 cup or 4 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
