Spaghetti with Meat Sauce My family loves any kind of pasta and this meat sauce is one of our favorites.  Add a salad and bread for a great meal.

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilis
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (13.25 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 teaspoon minced garlic
3 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon sugar
Salt to taste
parmesan cheese, optional
Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper.  Drain.  Add remaining ingredients except parmesan cheese and simmer about 45 minutes.  Serve over spaghetti cooked according to package directions.  Makes enough sauce for approximately 6 servings.  Can top with parmesan cheese.  Enjoy!
This could be made in the crockpot as well. Just brown your meat with your onions and peppers, then add to slow cooker.

  3. This was my father’s favorite way to have pasta. The recipe brings back a lot of memories of my mother serving this dish on Sunday.
