    • There is a baked strawberry pie on the site. Under Cobblers and Pies, called Easy Strawberry Pie.

I’m a Texas girl going to the University of Washington up in Seattle- where nobody’s ever heard of fried toast and people get all scandalized if you use more than a couple tablespoons of butter in a recipe or dare to eat bread, dessert and something fried all in the same day. I don’t have any cookbooks up here with me so your website is a Godsend!

    This is a fruit crisp I made up and is easy plus delicious. I take 2 cans of any fruit of your choice. Put in your baking dish, sprinkle dry a box of cake mix ( I use white cake mix), then just add on top brown sugar, cinnamon, melted butter & top with sliced almonds. Place in 325 oven until mixture bubbles (about 30 minutes) or maybe longer depending on oven. Serve with either whipped cream or ice cream….easy and oh so good!
