2 eggs

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped

5 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled, optional

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

In a large bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, poppy seeds, parsley flakes and garlic powder. In a smaller bowl whisk together buttermilk, melted butter and eggs. Add to dough mixture. Fold in crumbled bacon, shredded cheese and onion. Mix well. Spray a 9 x 4 inch bread pan with cooking spray. Add bread dough and bake in preheated 350 degree oven 45 to 50 minutes. Let cool in pan for about 10 minutes. Makes 1 loaf. Enjoy!

Just reheat in the microwave. This sauce is great for ice cream sundaes, banana splits, brownies and cakes. I slice up bananas and eat them with this sauce poured over them. If you are a chocoholic like me, you will love this sauce.

1/3 cup cocoa

3/4 cup white sugar

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

1/4 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on top of stove until it boils, then cook about 3 more minutes stirring often. Makes about 2 cups of hot fudge sauce. Enjoy!

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 onion, chopped

1 green pepper, chopped

1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilis

2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce

1 (13.25 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained

1 teaspoon minced garlic

3 teaspoons dried oregano

1 teaspoon sugar

Salt to taste

parmesan cheese, optional

Brown ground beef, onion, and green pepper. Drain. Add remaining ingredients except parmesan cheese and simmer about 45 minutes. Serve over spaghetti cooked according to package directions. Makes enough sauce for approximately 6 servings. Can top with parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

This could be made in the crockpot as well. Just brown your meat with your onions and peppers, then add to slow cooker.

I am always looking for recipes using bananas and apples and this one is a keeper. I added Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting but they are good without the frosting, too. A cup of coffee and one of these muffins in the morning is a great start to any day.

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

2/3 cup oil

1/4 cup buttermilk

2 bananas, mashed

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring

2 medium apples, peeled and chopped

3/4 cup walnuts, chopped

Cream sugar and eggs with mixer; add oil, buttermilk, and bananas and continue mixing. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking soda, whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour and mix well. Fold in vanilla, apples and walnuts with a spoon. Spray a muffin pan with cooking spray or use cupcake papers. Fill 1/2 to 3/4 full of muffin mixture. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 20 – 25 minutes. Makes 18 to 20 muffins. Enjoy!
