Bacon is my favorite breakfast food! Are you a bacon lover, too? Cooking bacon in the oven is quick and simple with less mess. I think the bacon gets crispier and does not shrink as bad as cooking on top of the stove. Bacon drippings are always kept at my house to use in seasoning vegetables or my cornbread muffins.
Spread the uncooked bacon on a cooking sheet or in any baking dish. You can make however many slices of bacon you want. Here is a little tip I use but this is not necessary. I sprinkle about 1/2 cup flour on a dish or paper plate and flour my bacon before cooking in the oven. It seems to me it makes the bacon taste better and it does not curl up. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake bacon for about 10 minutes on each side. Ovens vary so it may take more or less time. You will be able to see when the bacon is cooked to your specifications. Remove and drain on paper towels. Save or discard the bacon drippings. Enjoy!
