NUTTY CHEESE DIP

This is a great dip to serve family and friends.  We like this better with crackers than chips. The walnuts give it a great flavor.

1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese or 6 ounces
1/4 cup butter or 4 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (the kind in the green container)
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon bacon bits
1/2 cup walnut pieces

Blend all ingredients except walnuts in a bowl with mixer.  Fold in walnuts.  Refrigerate a couple hours before serving.  Makes about 2 cups.  Enjoy!
