I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone on my site to Texas Day! Last week on my Facebook page, I had everyone give a shoutout to their state. The state with the most shoutouts got a day on the site to post recipes, jokes, pictures, facts about their state or anything interesting they wanted to post. The great state of Texas had the most members to answer the call on that day. We are all looking forward to the Texas fans showing us a great day on The Southern Lady Cooks.
If you are not a fan on Facebook, you might want to click on the link below and check out all your Texas friends posts today and see what they have come up with.
I have some Texas sites I recently ran across that you might want to check out also. Sweet Pea of the Newlyweds Blog is a Texas native and is having a giveaway on her site. She needs you to help her name her e-cookbook. You can also find Sweet Pea on Facebook.
Thinking about visiting Texas any time soon. You can get a FREE packet containing the Texas State Travel Guide, Texas Accommodations Guide, and Texas Official Travel Map.
You can also get some cool Texas items at Cool Texas Stuff.com!
It just so happens that my daughters both rodeo and have a site called On The Rodeo Road. They have interviewed Anna Hunt of CMT’s Texas Women for their site and it will be published in several parts. Anna talks about rodeos, bulls and her life in part one and part two. So if you like the show, Texas Women, check out Anna’s interview. I think you will enjoy it. My girls said she was really a wonderful person and they enjoyed so much talking with her.
